Ingredients for Banana Munchkins

  • one banana
  • one egg
  • one tablespoon of oil
  • some cinnamon
  • some salt
  • some baking powder
  • some ground ginger
  • flour
  • sugar
  • some milk
  • half a teaspoon of the banana extract
  • one teaspoon of vanilla
  • about a half a teaspoon nutmeg
  • about two cups of oil
  • some sugar

Instructions for Making Banana Munchkins

  1. Go ahead and mash these bananas up now.
  2. Whisk this up as much as you possibly can.
  3. I’m gonna go ahead and add in the rest of our liquids, and that’s gonna be our milk and or extracts.
  4. I’m adding in the extracts.
  5. I’m gonna go ahead and add in my vanilla as well.
  6. Next, I’m going to go ahead and add in our dry ingredients.
  7. Give this a good whisk.
  8. Go ahead and grate your nutmeg in.
  9. Give this a good stir.
  10. You want to go ahead and leave this to rest for about 10 or 12 minutes.
  11. Go ahead and get my oil heated up.
  12. I’m gonna go ahead and drop as many as could fit into the pot without overcrowding.
  13. I’m gonna go ahead and turn them over.
  14. I’m gonna go ahead and remove the ones that are been in the first batch.
  15. Go ahead and remove all of them when they’re done.
  16. If you need to do another batch, go ahead and do your second batch.
  17. I’m just gonna be stirring this around and getting the sugar coated and all of orange munchkins.

What we’re looking for is really, really liquid mash. We don’t want to see any huge visible trunks.

If you’re not able to find banana extract, it’s totally okay. You can go ahead and leave it out.

You don’t want to over mix this batter as soon as all the flour is incorporated.

You just don’t want your oil to be too hot or too, what is it? Cool. If it’s too hot, your donuts are gonna burn and if it’s too cold, they’re gonna soak up too much oil. So, just be mindful of that.

If you don’t want them to be this brown, just go ahead and use less cinnamon.

They won’t take very long because they’re so small and when they’re done, you’ll see them just floating on the top like that.

You could add cinnamon but because I had so much cinnamon in the batter, I’m just gonna go ahead and omit that.
