Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

I will be making a chicken and stuffing casserole dish, so I have about one pound of chicken that I’ve shredded, just going to put that into a greased eight by eight inch pan, and then I’m going to add some pepper.

Ingredients for chicken and stuffing casserole

Ingredients

  • about one pound of chicken that I’ve shredded
  • pepper
  • salt
  • celery seed (about a half a teaspoon)
  • thyme
  • one can of cream of celery soup (ten and a half ounces)
  • a quarter cup of milk
  • about two tablespoons of diced onion
  • about a cup of peas and carrots
  • one package of stovetop stuffing chicken
  • one stick of butter
  • one cup of chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Put about one pound of chicken that I’ve shredded into a greased eight by eight inch pan.
  2. Add some pepper.
  3. Add some salt.
  4. Add some celery seed.
  5. Add some thyme.
  6. Set that aside.
  7. In a bowl, add one can of cream of celery soup.
  8. Add a quarter cup of milk.
  9. Add about two tablespoons of diced onion.
  10. Put my frozen peas and carrots in the microwave for about two and a half minutes just so they weren’t frozen solid.
  11. Add the peas and carrots.
  12. Give that a good mix.
  13. Add that mixture to my chicken.
  14. Give that a good mix.
  15. Flatten that in your baking dish.
  16. Set that aside.
  17. Pour one package of stovetop stuffing chicken in a bowl.
  18. Add one stick of butter.
  19. Add one cup of chicken broth.
  20. Mix that all together.
  21. Let it sit for a couple minutes for it to dissolve the chicken broth.
  22. Once your stuffing mix has absorbed all that liquid, put it on the top.
  23. Take a fork, and spread that until it’s all even.
  24. Put it in a preheated 375 degree oven, for between 30 and 40 minutes.
  25. Take some out, put it on a plate.

when it starts to brown on the top and get a little bubbly, you’ll know it’s done

Serving Suggestions

I’m just going to serve it with some butternut squash, and some cranberry sauce

you could use rice noodles and put this on top, if you’d like
