Introduction
Last week, my grocery store had 2-pound containers of fresh strawberries for a very low price. The strawberries were big and a beautiful deep red color. They needed to be made into a dessert that would show off their color and taste.
Ingredients

- 2-pound containers of fresh strawberries
- Juice from a lemon
- Cornstarch
- Sugar that is white
- Flour
- White sugar
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Cold butter
- Cream
- Butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Strawberries
To start the recipe, we wash, hull, and cut up the strawberries. My berries were about a quarter of an inch thick when I cut them. I wanted the berries to be cut thick enough so that they would still look like berries after they were baked.
2. Make the Sauce

It was time to make the sauce after the berries were cut. There are three things in the sauce:
Juice from a lemon
Cornstarch
Sugar that is white
Put these three things in a saucepan and cook them until they get thick. Add the strawberries to the pan and gently fold them in to coat them.
3. Prepare the Baking Dish
I put the berries in a buttered 9-inch baking dish, dotted the top with butter, and then I made the topping. I mean, how easy has this been so far?
4. Make the Topping
There are six things in the strawberry cobbler topping:
Flour
White sugar
Baking powder
Salt
Cold butter
Cream
Sift the dry ingredients together, cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients until you have large crumbs, stir in the cream. Sprinkle the crumbs over the top of the berries and bake.
Conclusion

I love recipes that are easy to make and yield fantastic results. And let’s not forget the versatility! Switch the strawberries out for blueberries or raspberries!
This is summer’s bounty at its best! Serve this delicious treat with vanilla ice cream or cream and watch the smiles appear. Strawberry Cobbler: easy and delicious—it doesn’t get any better than that. ENJOY!
